Even Harvard scholars must submit to the law

The nation’s most pre-eminent Black scholar, Henry Louis Gates Jr., was arrested the other night when he was reportedly breaking into a home in Cambridge, Mass. The Harvard professor claimed that the home was his own, flashed his Harvard faculty ID card, and accused police officers arrested him because he was a “black man in America.” They arrested him anyway.

I guess even Harvard can’t protect you from paying the price of being Black.

  1. Did you hear that the woman who called 911 adamantly tried to not mention race and that she even mentioned that the people *might* live at the address, but wanted someone to check on it?
